On August 24, 2016, Gish Logging experienced a devastating fire. Destroyed in the fire were all 5 of our wood drying kilns, our saw dust silo that fuels our furnace for our kilns’ boiler and a storage building that contained 400 Cord of kiln-dried firewood.
With the help of 33 fire companies responding on that hot and windy August day, our office building, our packaging area and storage warehouse was not damaged. In addition, 5,000 cord of pole-wood, 6,500 cord of seasoned firewood was also spared because of the combined efforts of the fire companies.
